Ok, no porn mietser is going to have the resources of Copolla, Scorsese, and Scott at their disposal, but if they don't make an attempt in that direction and simply serve up lack lustre ladies mechanically ramming dildos in and out of each other, I for one feel affronted that they are treating me with contempt. I occasionally hear distributors and producers say "Oh, it's only porno. So long as it's got tits, fannys and shagging in it the punters will be as happy as pigs in the proverbial. There's no point in making it artistic or trying to inject feeling and plot into it. Waste of money" The implication being that these producers feel that punters haven't got the brains to appreciate such niceties and that mindless rutting will be more than adequate to entertain them. I personally feel that this is a mistake and that the best sex is when the mind and genitalia work in unison. We shouldn't just make things that appeal to the lowest common denominator. That just shows our contempt for the punter and maintains the negative image of porno in general.

this is one of the more challenging questions i've seen on the forum. it would be safe to say that the last thing i'd want to see is a lot of the real lesbians doing real lesbian things kind of movie. i think bi girls make the most exciting stuff to watch since they are naturally out to please both sexes and adds to the thrill. they show as the real bad-girl girlfriend types you'd find unexpectedly in bed with a hot babe when you get home.
the one thing i can say is a good scene always surprises me when it's good. i'll wonder why i don't watch more of these until i try to find another one because there is so much lukewarm G/G stuff done.
for me the biggest mistake the director makes is in the pacing. keep it moving. don't slow it with too much inane dialogue. it's got to have an edge all the way thru.
a lot of G/G starts off very good but too often makes the mistake of dragging out parts of it way too long. it's like, well we have this 20 minute slot to fill up so let's just fill it up with something. if i was putting together a scene i'd be thinking of how much i would edit out so i'd overshoot to get the good stuff. what's good? the most exciting parts seem like they would have been an accident. it's nothing they say or do you can describe exactly. also maybe you want the sense the girls are very aware they're doing something nasty they shoudn't be doing together. opposite types of girls are a good setup, but don't expect that to carry it. really sexy clothes and voyeurism is a must to get things going. and make sure the climax is earthshattering for both. good luck!
