From a safe distance then? Frankly I'm appalled by this dereliction of husbandly duty. There are those amongst us who, I'm sure, would at least have sat in the back just to give Lara some moral support. Mind you, having Lara in the front seat must be like a 'get out of jail free' card when it comes to traffic infractions.
