can anyone shed some light on this for me.
i know that it is illegal to have sex in a public place and that films shot including sex in public places will not be passed by the bbfc however...
what if for example it was a privately owned field??? is that ok??? how would the bbfc know or not know that somewhere was privately owned.
sex in public
Re: sex in public
I don't know if it's the issue of private ownership, more a case of if people can see from public thoroughfares. If you were totally obscured from public vision and could prove it then I can't see how they would have grounds to complain. Might be worth checking out with a lawyer or with BBFC though as I'm not an expert.
Re: sex in public
Anything outside is considered a public place .... even your own private back garden and even in your own home if the public can see through the window.

That's kinda what I was hinting at: As long as it's totally obscured from public vision.

Re: sex in public
Sandie,
Maybe you should have a talk with the likes of Terry Stephens, John Mason, Phil McC etc as several of their films contain scenes shot in public places. The law has changed recently and even if your neighbours can see you at it they can complain to the police.
