U.K porn will always be alive because "GOOD" porn is not made up of the following factors;
1, The cast
2, The producer/director
3, The budget
4, The lighting etc
5, The theme
There is only 1 factor that deems porn to be "GOOD"......Does it turn you on?
We have all bought/aquired porn based upon the above 5 factors and been dissapointed. IMHO mainstream porn is to "samey" we need something new to stimulate us.
1, The cast
2, The producer/director
3, The budget
4, The lighting etc
5, The theme
There is only 1 factor that deems porn to be "GOOD"......Does it turn you on?

Vida only did one boy/girl movie with penetration (dildo action doesn't count in my books!) it's the one on the airplane and it did have a condom.
She appeared in a couple of others (one with Misty McKane) but only did girl/girl (I know I did the stills).
I worked with Vida probably more than any other photographer ( She went on at least 19 overseas trips with me including the Seychelles 3 times!) and got to know her very well. I think if she had done more boy girl hardcore ( not soft simulated) I would have known about it. Still, there is a possibility I may be mistaken but I don't think so.

As per usual I take an opposite view to John and although I haven?t been in it quite as long as he I do make my living in this area. (Hey, if I get it wrong, I don't eat) Therefore I do think that my views hold some validity. John knows what he likes personally and I say good luck to him, but...
I Agree with Tony Mantana on points 1 and 2, even some of point 3.
But as another poster has already noted, what about Remington Steel? He's a true profesional, his work is beautifully lit and shot and being involved in the retail areas of adult entertainment I can attest that his work is still exceedingly popular with the punters. This is simply because he adheres to what some might consider old-fashioned values of content and quality. Nowadays, he only films the sort of women that punters are still actively interesting in seeing and I?m afraid that precludes any new girls who think they want to be ?a porn star.?
In partial agreement with point 4. Don?t agree that the States has the best babes at the moment (who does?) and ?toned and tanned? seems more of a relevant factor for those who are into healthy living, as opposed to fucking and sucking. I?d have thought proper big tits, small waists and generously curvaceous asses would be more relevant ? and the majority of punters I know (and that?s quite a few) agree. Tony?s quite right about current Brit porn girls on the whole looking pale. But he forgot to mention - under nourished, unkempt and ultimately, unerotic.
It won?t come as a revelation that I agree with Tony that the golden age UK porn (and US porn for that matter) was probably early nineties.

I haven't seen those movies and I'm afraid I don't care to after getting a flavour of what they were about from their publicity blurb and pictures - the usual suspects engaged in the kind of modern 'erotically challenged' production line fucking and sucking that I detest and that the punters can?t be arsed to cough up for.
