If you are going to do the amateur niche then stick to just that dont go the same way a lot of so called amateur sites go and start using well known models as it dosnt work, it wont be easy as you will need to keep finding fresh talent but now is probably the best time to start as there are more girls now willing to do porn just to make some extra dosh, try and stick to British girls and film them in their own homes if you can and it will cost you a nice few grand to get started but the best of luck and i hope you succeed.

I would say unless you have very very deep pockets, I would look at the very niche. The client base tends to be more loyal (if you update and give them what they want).

However, you say you've had a meeting with an adviser who says you're on to something... I take this to mean you have an idea already? i.e. getting advice about setting up a porn site without any details would be pointless. Most successful sites are run by people who have a distinct vision already, it's their passion, their turn-on and that comes across in the work.

Asking on a forum such as this what would people like to see will result in many different answers, each has their own ideas, likes and dislikes. I suggest that you need to determine what you like, what your vision is and don't start spending any money until you know what that is.

Is it just me who like variety. There's always the advice to lock onto one niche and got for it. But that gets boring and repetitive to me. I like many different forms of porn and women.

What this country needs is a site like AdultWork, i could have bought a site with an identical template about 4yrs ago for ?3000 but had second thoughts. Don't know if i done right or wrong but whoever controls such a site which gives the producers/models a fair rate on their share/percentage controls porn in this country. For years i have built a good network with amateurs in the UK but it needs someone with a lot of time & cash of course to make a site with lots of various niches.

Good point Beck, I did have to drift around to different sites when I used to join sites, but going back to uni and being a poor student has ended that.

But I never used to rebill with niche sites, because they'd get boring. Sites that encompasses a whole range of different genres, like a Brazzers, Bang Bros, or Naughty America is a much more enticing prospect to me. But they must cost a ridiculous amount to run.

Yes by all means, study the market and work out what you think the buying public wants. this will no doubt be some variation of what you like and its not that different to what is already out there.

Holly D is right, the girl next door amateur porn is a dime a dozen but it depends what you do and how you so it and whether you get a following for it whether you will make money out of it.

Your best bet is to scout for new talent and thats where you will get noticed. The prettier and natural the better. You dont even have to resort to full out extreme sex and if you do make sure you dont get a bad name for it.
