So, if a performer has started in the industry a month ago, but has hundred's of friends who will go online and vote for her, she will win best actress?
The awards are not based on how talented they are, just how many people they have persuaded to vote for them?
How can this be fair? The only way to vote is for a panel of directors/producers/x performers and consumers, they actually watch short listed performers scenes, they look at the publicity and read reviews throughout the porn industry etc, then make a decision.
Industry people all know who should be awarded, it's pretty obvious who has performed well in that year, who is getting rave reviews etc etc, and if one of these deserving performers win, then no one will ever shout "fix!" how could they?
Look at the AVN's, would you argue with any of the best actor/actress awards over the last years? i certainly would not, all excellent performers and well deserved, if it's fixed then whoever does the fixing knows his stuff and can identify the best performers.
It will be interesting to see who comes out winners, but i cant see this system recognising the most deserving, and this itself will cause some mutterings within the industry, i hope i am wrong, we can only wait and see.
I wish you all the best with the event and im sure it will be much better than last year! I admire what you are trying to do by bringing the industry together, i think you have a tough task as the UK industrty reminds me of a song..."Me Myself and I" they like to appear they are working together, but are they really??? mmmmhh
If they all finally do pull together the UK industry would be a far better place, good luck marino and team.

Of ocurse the AVN'S are never fixed even with their panels. I will quote history Ben Dover was never allowed to enter as a Brit producer and had to be entered against the U.S producers so I am told due to a major company and how much they spent with advertising with the AVN.
So guys whichever way the voting is done some one is always going to be unhappy and the winners pleased
I have supported many award shows and never won any thing and I still go to hopefully network and support my industry.
Like I said before if you wish to make things better come and join us for next year.

p.s Keni I like the idea but the panel would only be accused of favouritism and try to get producers and performers to agree would take years.

Or any people with such great ideas could also get there money out to start with and then earn the right to some input.
