How to make snapshots from movie files/VCDs

Post by Steven »

1) Download IrfanView and it's Plugins first

Click here to download it's plugins

2) Install the software and it's plugins by double clicking on files you just download (iview361.exe and all_plugins.exe)

3) Run the program

4) Open the movie file by going to File --> Open
Note: To open the movie files make sure you pick All files(*.*) form "Files of type" drop down menu

5) Right click on the movie while playing or you can pause it and pick copy from the drop down menu

6) Open another copy of the program and from edit menu pick paste

7) Now you have Snapshot/Preview/Still ready to save.

8) From File menu pick "Save as" and save the file as JPG format.

Note: If you save the file in some other format (bmp, png...etc), file size may be too
big and difficult to send via e-mail

8) Take additional Snapshot/Preview/Stills, 4-6 stills would be good to take

9) Send them via e-mail to egroup or individual that had directly requested.
