Hi There All,

I was at the UKAP Male Audition and was called into perform first and all went well for me because I focused on what I was there to do, and personally felt that what was said before any of us performed was honest and how a guy should approach performing in porn if he is to take it and be taken seriously and professionally. And I was even given a compliment of "Good performance John well done" and so was others there, so it wasn't all bad and I found the audition a challenging experience.

Since the audition I have worked with some well-known producers and the pressure can sometimes be on when performing especially audition shoots, hence you need to be able to perform under-pressure (for various different reasons) in front of the camera.

EVERYONE I met at the audition seemed to be good honest people to meet.

Sandie you hit the nail on the head with it don't come natural to all guys, if you took 20 guys off the street you would only end up with 1 or 2 that can cope with the cameras etc. We use amateur guys, swingers because they are use to situations like porn film shoots (they do this all the time), we can get 6 guys (swingers) & they all preform well because its the norm to them & they even have to use condoms, have you thought at aiming it at these guys who are used to naughty action rather than the wannabes who cruise the adult sites.
Like any business surf around for the right people because it saves a lot of time & money. For example Tony (a swinger) made about 6 films with us then worked for Barrys mucky videos then he went on to Freddies World, this bloke once done 4 cum shots in 90 mins. After reading this i am thinking of starting up an agency for Am guys who we know as it seems there is a big shortage of guys on the Pro scene, is it because Pro companies want to be seen more formal than the easy going Am producers. Should their approach be a little tadd less nerve racking as these poor blokes are just normal guys dreaming about starring in a naughty film & stand no more chance of doing it than being a Formula One Driver, as Sandy said its a skill your born into & it can't be taught.
Next time try setting up a group scene as this way each guy don't feel pressured & will cope better with the camera's & watch for the most confident guys as they will stand out (excuse the pun).
