i have been working in the industry over a year now and i totally relate to what you have said. although i enjoy making porn, the flip side can be pretty disturbing.

Some days i wrestle with my conscious as i know that porn for many is a very unhealthy habit and it feeds a lot of negative emotion in people.

I have generally only had great experiences with people but i know there are many people who get into it for the wrong reasons and it should only ever be done if you are fully happy and content within yourself.

i too, some days just feel like a complete pervert who is trying to get cheap kicks.... this isnt a good place to be.

for manys sex can become an addiction in its negative form..... some people use it to fill a void that can never be fulfilled and hunger only feeds hunger- therefore the more you have the more you want......
porn should not be taken lightly and anyone who enters into porn should question that they are doing it for the right reasons.

despite all this, i love what i do and as long as i enjoy it i will continue to do it... for others i just hope that they get the same degree of fun and self-fulfillment that i do getting a good porking!!

There is a simple answer to that question:

Models are not prostitutes.

I do enjoy sex. I like it very much. That is one of the reasons why I do this for a living. I am interested in more than the money. I am interested in producing good quality work.

On the other hand, if I was the kind of girl who would fuck anyone who asked, I'd give up modelling and be an escort. I'd probably make better money doing it.

The real pros in this industry are the guys who are too busy concentrating on taking good pictures or making good films to get aroused by the naked woman in front of them. On the rare occasion the pros do feel a little turned on, they keep a lid on it.

But the bottom line is that I go to shoots expecting to deal with a friendly, professional individual who is paying me because he wants to make good content. I won't even agree to a shoot with guys who ask me if I'll suck their dicks or give them a handjob. Why? Because then I know right away that the guy has only a passing interest in me actually doing my job, what he's really interested in is the sexual kick he's getting from it. And you know what? When a guy has a hard-on and can't think straight, the pictures he takes and the videos he makes will be completely shit, and I'm not intererested either in being someone's little private show, or featuring in content that looks like it was shot by a blind guy with Parkinson's.

Oh, and in my experience, the guys who ask once are the guys who will ask again and again even when you've said no several times, because at that stage they're just thinking with their dicks. So I avoid them like the plague.

Sorry to dispel any preconceptions that you might have had.

Alice In Blunderland sums it up without even knowing it. A pro (I think thats me even if I am in semi-retirement) does not get all horny despite how great the girl is, because he is to busy worring about exposure, framing, focus, back lighting, budget, how the girl looks, time, make-up, hair, the guys wood, the next scene, the location, the stills, the sound, the models talking in the next room, need I go on.
Fuck Truck looked like a group of guys going round the country with a palm corder picking up totty for a bang. It even fooled the News of Screws, It was shot on Beta-cam totally organised and had a script, the ourfits were chosen and on most occasions we had make up etc unless the girl was good with her own. We used known models but took them into a new-girl act. We shot an intro because I believe the punters(you guys) want to see a bit of personality, I made it fun, I wrote scripts that allowed the girls to lead and the crew looked funny. Benny hill with anal. We had a superb time making it and I can assure you it sold like crazy. Shops had to take it because the public asked for it. I use to have a guy running up and down to keep them stocked.
I work from an industrial estate !!!!, Emily is right about sexual harasment I am fed up telling the girls NO. One time a model told me she had fucked 3 photographers in that week and because I had not suggested a shag she wanted to know what was wrong with her. It a bit like horses for courses, everyone is different, some girls I have met love it they use the scene as an excuse to have a great time, others are only there for the money. We are all different. Some girls turn up with a suitcase full of clothes and props, some don't turn up at all. If a guy propositions you take it as a compliment but know you can say NO you have that power. But on the same subject if you fancy the sport be able to say yes or even say please. The whole industry gets to heavy. Take some lessons from "Fuck Truck" no beatings gaggings, triplle double anals or 40 guy bukkates. Fun Fucking but it sold and to anyone who wants to argue ring Playboy and ask them if the want another 20 eppisodes next week.
Little Joe once said to me you don't have a style you don't need it you can get the exposure, focus and don't suffer from camera shake thats because I was luck to work with some real masters all who I took a bit from.
Rant over,
Phil McC

Well Phil I couldnt have put that better. its true, sometimes its the opposite and I have politely refused. Not because I dont like the girl but because thats not what i was there to do. It can be stressful making movies and I need all my faculties around me to do stills, shooting and staying on topic

I'm flattered and take it as a compliment but you have to accept even though you may not like it that this industry is a big blur of grey as apposed to black and white. sometimes being professional has nothing to do with it.

Pros cop off with the talent and crew and that might happen to be a photographer. I'd like to think all that was mutual. Just because I said i would if given the chance didnt mean that I did. The model asked me. i was honest...but I didnt exceed my parametwers because the movie always comes first.

In truth...if I do get turned on on a shoot, I take it as a good sign I'm getting a blisteringly hot scene...Oh dear...the words, hole....dig...deep seem apt right now. !laugh! Its rare that I do as I've done plenty of shoots but the moment you are really desensitised to what you do? Then stop.

By the way this has no bearing whatsoever on stormchild whom I apologise for rail roading his thread with my insights.

Sorry mate.

[quote]There is a simple answer to that question:

Trouble is Emily, a lot of models 'are' offering extras after scenes. I think this causes a lot of confusion.

While I agree with you that female performers shouldn't need to turn down sexual advances on every shoot, I can't blame the photographers/directors totally, unless their advances are constant, in spite of being told 'no'.

Lets not beat around the bush- lots of performers escort themselves for extra money. Hell there's an agent who's whole set-up is based on providing porn stars as escorts.................and there are a 'LOT' of girls doing it. I've always said that any girl who escorts at the weekend means her current health certificate is void on the Monday morning....yet they work freely putting others at risk.

Forget all the 'all our girls use condoms' bollocks as well. I know at least one of these escort/supposed porn star girls quoted unprotected sex at ?200 extra. I'd love to name her but alas it's against forum rules which I have to respect (even though other performers are put at risk).

I think this problem is more serious than a sexual advance from a photographer, and ironically, denying escort girls jobs in the industry means less porn stars doing sexual favours, which may lead to less photographers thinking the girl on set is game.

I've always been of the belief that if a girl escorts for extra cash, she's not earning enough as a porn star. If she's not earning enough as a porn star then she's not quite the performer that she thinks she is.
