I have been shooting miniDV's of solo girls using toys and can anyone help me with a suggestion of what editing software is good, and easy to use. I have Adobe premier and Windows Movie Maker. I am looking to edit and add the contents to my website. I also need the edit movies to be the best quality but not over big file sizes. Gary.
What Video Editing Software?
Re: What Video Editing Software?
Hiya Gary...
For simplicity.. Pinnacle Studio Plus is great.. If you're totally non techy like me it's perfect.. LOL. I've looked at Vegas and all the others and was lost. from the start. Maybe that's due to me being almost ready to collect my pension and past being able to learn new stuff any more.... LOL.
I bow to the knowledge of the techy guys here

Guys...
As I'm a complete twat...
You "Capture" the vid either through Analog or Firewire.. I'm sure I'm wrong to use analog but I find checking the lighting/colouration etc. when doing it this way, is faster than using the firewire then having to mess around with it. Then move across to "Edit".. Drag the clips in to the time line and go from there.. Simple icons to cut and bin etc. All the transitions can be found at the top of the screen for joining the edited clips. A couple of clicks to add titles and music etc. Then "Make Movie" Getting screen caps is a simple operation as well...
You do need to buy a few extra features, but not that many.... I bought some I thought I'd need but I haven't used half of them yet.. LOL. I only add more music on a regular basis.
Pinnacle Studio Plus is ideal if you are getting started

VOTE!
As we currently have the vote BGAFD actress of 2005 - I got to thinking whilst reading this thread... If we were to have a vote on the most helpful and genuine member of this community there could be no other winner than JoeA - a genuinely nice guy who never, ever fails to chip in with good advice and assistance. Respect!
I retired when I sadly realised nobody wanted me!
