Hi
I am about to do my first hard b/g video and have been asked to bring a 28 day hiv/std certificate along.
I live in the NE and was told that the GUM clinic in Newcastle was the place to go.
I have spoken to them (GUM clinic) on the phone and they say that it's not an actual certificate that they will give me.It will be the results of the tests on A4 letterheaded paper.
Would this be enough? If not maybe someone could tell me where I can get an actual certificate.
The GUM clinic said they think this would be OK but I need to be sure.
Thanks

The GUM will give you a "to who it may concern" letter, which shows the the results of all your tests, your name and date of birth and the date you attended the clinic. Which I think is all you need. I have used them before.
The only problem is that I have found they dont really like giving them out. especially not every month! And It does take a while to get your results, so by the time you get your letter you only have two weeks left before you have to get another.
Most people in the Industry have to travel to London to get tested. Either with a private clinic such as Regents Park Clinic, or at the Indigo clinic in Hammersmith which is a GUM but they specialise in testing adult performers and are quite quick. But as far as I know there are no clinics in the North.

Thanks Charlie
I explained to them why I needed it and they said that there was no problem for me to keep coming in and that there wouldn't be a charge.
I was just checking that what they give me will be accepted by everyone.
Thanks again

The GUM clinic said that if I wanted an actual "certificate" then I had to go somewhere else to get that.
They did say that I'm not the first one in this line of work to go to them and that it definitely wasn't a certificate but would have the results on their letterheaded paper which they seemed to think was good enough.
I just don't want to turn up at the shoot only to be told that this paper is worthless.
Thanks

Think this system which was introduced as a knee jerk reaction to the hiv case in the states (previous was a 3 month hiv only) is unworkable, and has had exactly the effect the big producers desired, and that is to keep out or make as difficult as possible emerging producers and talent getting into the industry, as this guy is finding out, our quaint creaky old system is not geared up to it in this country. Yes I know safety is paramount but can't we find some middle ground, between those working every day and those working once every 2 months or so...surely the present system is encouraging people to take risks.

Ghostdog.....
No work... no films ...... result.... no uk porn!
USA dominate.... Oh hang on , thats whats happening....
Just saw a porn film with the amazing Tera Patrick, she did it all, amazing, but he wore a condom throughout until the cum shot(s). She did two guys , one came over her face one over her boobs. Total porn with cumshot but safe... Did it really matter that he had a condom on? I think not , I was watching her..
