First website video trailer - download for FREE !!

Hi,

Firstly thankyou to everyone who emailed me with advice on how to set up my yahoo group, I set it up yesterday and have added a few images from various galleries from my forthcoming website.

My yahoo group is

I have just added to the group this morning a trailer from one of my videos which will also be on my website, sorry about the delay for video trailers but I am editing the videos myself -( should have gone to webmasters )- lol

Problem with that Lolly, it takes you to a page that says "You are not authorised to view this page" (and, yes, I am a member of your group).

Maybe someone who knows could advise?

I have just clicked on the link myself that I posted in the previous message and it takes me straight to media player and plays the trailer, can I ask have you tried to view it from the group??

Thanks for your response, if you still cant get it to work or view it, I will email you it or something.

Have you any ideas on what is going wrong, can you not download it from the group?

I know someone else has downloaded it from the group, I can view it from the link on the original posting and also from the group so I dont know what to do now to make it work.

You need to be logged into Yahoo in order for the direct link to work (you need to be a member of the group as well).
Link from the group is dead for me tho as you used your allowed bandwith...

"The document you requested is temporarily unavailable because this group has exceeded its download limit. Please try again later."

Yahoo groups do indeed suck sometimes

Be careful with your bandwidth especially when using free webspace like Yahoo.

When I put the McKenzie Lee Virtual trailer online (using my own webhosting license) it generated about 2 GB download traffic in the first weekend, only by bgafd forum members. (the trailer was only 5 MB, so you do the math..)

I've had another look, logged into your group on Yahoo and it's still no go. As Matt said, you've probably used up all your bandwidth.

Would there be any chance of you e-mailing it to me when you have time please? (my e-mail address is in my profile).

Hi Lolly
I'm sure I saw you had your own domain so why not put the video downlaod on that and then hot link from your yahoo group to the video down load. It's a practise we used some time ago which worked well as the Yahoo and MSN boffins don't like too much usage in the groups.
Might be able to shortcut the probs.
