Dunno why, but have always hated Telly's...they don't 'feel' right (and with my lousy action, that's important)
Dead right about the Gibbo.....tho' if yer gonna lay out ?2-300 anyway, might as well go for broke and go ?400+ for the former.

Epiphone do a very nice replica guitar based on Gibson. I have an Explorer and it really is nice. There Les Paul Customs are excellent, and I have a Joe Perry model in Black-on-black. But lets be honest, if you want a Les Paul, it HAS to be in cherry sunburst!
Epiphone are the best division of a recognised make of guitar, Fender should be shot for churning out there Encore range, as soon as you tune your bottom e, the top e is out! Keep practicing!

O/T..Yes, and a multitude of other riffs. Iv'e tried Strats, Tele's, Washburn, Ibanez (Satriani) and t'others but 'came home' to Gibson. I put that (them) through a Marshall TSL 60 and 4X12 and...MMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm...marvellous!! I also love those old John Lindsay and Taboo films...there's something about them....

Axeman, I have a 'vintage' 1983 Stratocaster from Washburn, its US, NOT Korean(bolt on neck) 5 pick up actions, 2 single coil and a mean humbucker (Seymour Duncan) and the tremelo action matches ANY Fender Stratocaster for 'dive-bombing' and 'screaming'. The frets are slightly concaved for 'fast' players to slow down a little. It has an added feature of a 'boom' volume that really knocks you dead. I would put that against any strat anyday. I have tried Gibsons, but my telecaster is my favourite. Its all down to personal taste, but what I would give for a 1960's Martin acoustic or Gretsch electric, not to mention the Gibson`1959 Gold Top` Oh yes, I perfer vintage porn too.
