Hi there,
The film 'Alm Bums' confuses me. This 1990 DBM production says on the cover:
Starring: Willi Montana, Umaya, Kim Song, Sue Lynn, Astrid, Bernadette, Ingrid Kawa. But in the screenshots I can clearly identify Effie Buster ( = Effie Balconi) and I don't see Astrid (Pils).

Can anyone help me ?
Thanks,

Re: Alm Bums
Thanks T C. Maybe they confused Effie Balconi with Astrid.

Re: Alm Bums
Maybe Effie is credited as Bernadette. This is noted as a possible credit for her in Oriental Night. Some of the other names appear in Oriental Night.
Anyway, thanks. We'll add it next time.

Umaya (and Kim Song)?
Old thread to dig up, but I too am perplexed by the credits list for this...
I've come to the conclusion that the list is just wrong, or at least in large part wrong.
6 girls are credited at the end when there are only 4 in the film. What's more, the cast list is identical to how it is displayed (in terms of the order of listing) in the opening of another Dino film Oriental Night (ON). Astrid (Pils) and Gaelle Perreira are both credited and appears in the latter suggesting to me that the list for it is, i assume, probably correct.
If this assumption is true, it brings me to question who Umaya is, credited in both films....
It's an Indian or possibly SE Asian name. Only 3 of the many stars of ON are ethnic. One is the credited, unmistakable, Latina Gaelle Perreira.
Two is, a pale slim girl identified on the forum as Sue Lynn (http://egafd.com/actresses/details.php/id/s00696). I'd propose though that this is in fact Kim Song - a Korean name, which fits very well with the appearance of this actress and not the much darker actress identified on here as Kim Song (http://egafd.com/actresses/details.php/id/k00252).
And three... well this would be the actress identified on here (incorrectly as i propose above) as Kim Song.
On the assumption that the credits list for ON is correct, there is definitely an Umaya in the film and this name only fits with the dark Indian or SE Asian actress (who also features in Alm Bums) identified here as Kim Song.
If my theory holds true i.e. that the Sue Lynn identified on the forum is in fact Kim Song and the credits list for ON is correct, the only plausible name left then for this dark Indian or SE Asian girl is Umaya....
Add to this; Sue Lynn could very easily be the name of almost any of the uncredited UNKs in ON, with the odds of it being the name of a dark Asian girl actually being relatively very small in my opinion. And so, for me, it is easy to discount her from being one of the ethnic girls.
...Phew!! Thoughts anyone?
If agreed, I would propose to Alec that Sue Lynn become Kim Song, Kim Song become Umaya, and Sue Lynn no longer has an entry (unless she can be attributed to one of the UNKs listed for ON)
Cheers
