Salieri Titles Please ID
Re: Salieri and honesty
I can't help, sorry...
These titles are examples of exactly the sort of cynical false [or at best wholly and deliberately misleading] advertising I was banging on about a few weeks back.
Scrape up some old Rocco stuff, bung a glammed-up pic of Paru Silios on the cover [anyone care to bet against me that she's actually in one of these?], chuck in a few sexy-sounding concoted aliases and watch the dough roll in [and a rapacious 27 Euro for something without even the most basic provenance? Not this mug- been bitten too many times before...]. Note particularly that all the actors' heads have been carefully omitted from the boxcover caps [even assuming these latter are from the disc-contents]. Now why should that be?
There is a healthy market for such older material, if it's fairly-priced and properly-described. Why not just call spade a spade? I can't believe even novices would be fooled by the amateurish cut-and-paste artwork, so why has this company gone to the trouble of disguising their product on the chance of a few sales from people who will probably then be so disappointed with their purchase that they'll never touch another disc from that outfit again? Under what insane mercantile logic can this strategy possibly work?
