I don't want to play smart ass, couldn't care less. It is only that if we start posting OT galore in the whole forum, the concept itself of having two sections to keep this unmarred, goes down the drain. And also, another could start posting messages about what is happening in Iraq and light up a quarrel where one doesn't need it: there are other forums (even one on this same site) for this. At least that's what I think. But apparently the moderators are thinking along your same lines. so probably i'm in the wrong about this.

your'e not wrong, as such but i think we can make the odd exception when 'exceptional' circumstances arise. we also acknowledge that there is less affiliation between users of this forum and the o/t forum, when compared with bgafd forumites. however, the emphasis is on the word 'exceptional' and it will certainly not become a regular occurrence.

This is a forum where unessential matters are dealt with seriously: which doesn't make the matters themselves any more serious of what they can be. to introduce serious matters like war, death and what else amid banners and topics which remind us of another side of our human constitution, I think shows a lack of respect toward the people we intend to pay hommage to. there are other ways to do that. I do not want to discuss Herschi's good intentions: of course anybody knows that they are the best ones. It's only that to open a serious topic like his, just above, say, one on a euroslut's filmography and before one on a gang bang video it leaves a bad taste, at least in my mouth. If the moderators and administrators of this forum wanted to pay hommage to the victims and remind us of their sacrifice, then I think they should have taken some more radical step, like closing this forum for a given amount of time.
