All the video of this movie I have seen, except perhaps the American theatrical release (I saw it in 1979 in Lincoln, NE) are simply of terrible quality. Does anyone have an original of the actual FILM that was released to German theaters?

Do you think any copies still exist?

It's available on DVD both in the American version (missing a scene) and in the original. This is an American supplier of the German DVD -

We have the Germa Herzog DVD here, I have seen it and the picture quality is good. The original sound is German with the choice of an English soundtrack, which is taken from the American release, so some parts only have German sound.
