Danish "Sign" DVDs out now.

Post by mulholand »

The entire Danish Zodiac series - six films - have now been released on DVD in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Picture quality is clearer and better than ever, letterboxed and all, and no cuts have been made (which happened to some of the "Bedside" titles when re-released on VHS a few years ago). Included on each DVD is a still gallery and trailers from all the films (these sometimes include bits not seen in the film itself!).

Subtitles are in Danish, Swedish and Norwegian, since these territories are the target of the release.

For those interested in buying the DVDs, I strongly recommend going through Sweden. The Danes charge 200 Danish kroner/disc (appr. 26 euro), whereas the Swedish price is around 150 Swedish kroner (appr. 16 euro) per film. Don't know about Norway, but it's probably somewhere in-between.

I haven't tried them myself, but www.discshop.se seems to be a good place. It's all in Swedish, but they do ship within the EU (except Spain) and accept the major credit cards. Writing in English to this address: info@discshop.se, will hopefully clear things out.

These are the Swedish titles:

I jungfruns tecken (Virgo)
I lejonets tecken (Leo)
I oxens tecken / I tjurens tecken (Taurus)
I skorpionens tecken (Scorpio)
I skyttens tecken (Sagittarius)
I tvillingarnas tecken (Gemini)

I am happy to try to answer more questions about these films, should anyone wonder about anything.

They write that they regrettably have had great problems with the Spanish mail office (exactly why is not explained) and have had to halt their deliveries to Spain.
