I know the "hot d'Or" in Cannes, France but I don't know if they still give awards for best actress, films, director...
I heard of the American awards "AVN" but I'd like to know if there're other ceremonies of the same kind.

Words. The talk here in Rome is that she was a hooker in Via Veneto when still unknown. Possible (I'd be inclined to say: probable. She came from a very poor family and life wasn't easy in post-war Italy). But how can you substantiate such rumors? No police report about her presumed activity is known to exist (and that would be easier to make disappear with the right amount of money).
About the porn, as long as there is no more solid evidence, the article in question is just vain speculation (and bad one at that). You can apply what is written therein to each person who had a bite at celebrity, never getting nowhere.
It would be better to go deeper in what is known, for example the Stallone movie, that I still can't understand whether it was a porn, later cut, or a border porn like they produced them in the late '60's- early '70's.

The British version of the Porn awards are pretty new and so far we they had 2 awards shows, the Plus Show Awards, held in Brighton, UK

The Best actress winner of 2003 was Sandie Caine and voted for at the BGAFD forum.

The Best actress winner of 2004 was Alicia Rhodes

again voted for at the BGAFD forum.

I expect that the 2005 ones will be held in May at the same venue again, I think??? It will be interesting to see who the nominies are this year.

Does anyone know if the Italian Impulse D'Oro awards still takes place? The last one I heard of was in about 1997/98. I know they've been held in Bologna and Milano in the past.
