Just a week or so ago, a new book on the German sex film (1965-1985) has come out in Germany; and before you ask: yes, it is in German. It is called Lexikon des Deutschen Erotikfilms (the link goes to an Austrian retailer), and the author is Stefan Rechmeier. No, it's not me, but I had some correspondence with the author, because I am writing on the very same subject, though in English.
The word "Lexikon" suggests that it's comprehensive and massive, and it is: 700 pages of A4. The content is mostly about softsex, but the period after 1975 (when HC was legalised in W.Germany) still covers a number of porn flicks as well.
I had already mentioned that book in the K.Schubert thread, but I thought it deserved a thread of its own.

So, fortunately, You were wrong and I was right (though I had no idea how much!): were you misleading on purpose?
Anyway, now we're waiting eagerly for yours: hurry up!

No, I had said that I hadn't heard from him about publication plans recently and that was the truth, I hadn't. There was an issue about the publisher, because originally the book was earmarked for the Terror-Verlag which had published a few genre books before, but they seemed to have disbanded.First thing I knew about the publication was when I accidentally noticed the book being for sale on that Austrian site this week, and lo and behold the very next day I received a free copy.

Re: book on German sex films
I meant I was right about publication being imminent.
I ordered a copy last night.
