I only remember the contents roughly: it ran about an old man who possed a majic flute. Every time s.o. played on it, it made female listeners do crazy things, so he hid it from his grandson. But when he was ill, the grandson pinched the flute and used it with the above mentioned success.

Do you think it might be the film you remember?

I have difficulty remembering the content of this film. It stuck in my mind because it shared the same title as the Mozart opera. I don't think we are talking about the same film though. I think the female lead in the film I'm thinking of was a tall, slim blonde.
