Is there a problem with egafd as the Forum recognised me this morning but just now I've had to 'log in' - even though I've just been onto bgafd forum and that recognised me OK?

No problem that we're currently aware of. The cookie that recognises you as being logged in is unique to whichever site you're visiting though, i.e. you'll have one for bgafd and a different one for egafd. If the egafd cookie got deleted or expired somehow you will need to log back in.

OK, only thing I can think of then is that must have expired during the day.

Another possibility is you used egafd.com or another alias such as egafd.org to enter the forum rather than www.egafd.com. Each will have its own unique cookie. To avoid cookie problems you really need to stick to the www.egafd.com version.

I do...it's high up there on my daily 'favorites' list!!
On reflection I guess that the cookie expires annually on egafd (but not on bgafd) as it's about 12 months since I returned to the fold.
