How do you get involved in the Industry?

I know people must be fed of hearing this but..
I'm a 23 year old male living in the UK I'm really interested about the industry and I was wondering if anyone had any tips at all in working in the industry doing anything (e.g. glamour photography, acting, directing in films).....
