I would like to change my opinion!

An article out of the magazine ' Videostar intim ' of 1988/03 has changed my opinion.
The death is of John Holmes described here.
Laurie aka (Misty Dawn in the BiZ) said AIDS was recognized with John 1986.
He married Laurie (his first wife) January 23th, 1987.
He died of March 13th, 1987(Diagnosis: Pneumonia by the AIDS virus)

He shot the films in Italy (1987):

hi herschi,

as i know J.H. did need urgently money ..
he could not more work as HIV+ infected in USA
therefore he did shootings in Italy ( obviously NO tests)
it is amazing that none of his prominent partners got infected -
i saw him in action never with condom in these movies -
but he did not already look very well ..
and had still more erection problems as usual.

what let me feel chilly
there is still not yet an organisation like AIM ( much critized at right)
on national or supranational level in Europe ...
it is still only a decision made by individuals.

therefore ... what does davids tell about
anonymity .. swept under the carpet .. etc. is very probable.
we will never experience what happens/ed with infected European performers
if not journalists & rechercheurs or "insider" will break this silence.

It is perhaps worth mentioning that a problem in Europe is that some actors/actresses make films in a multitude of countries. There has been discussion on this forum recently about an actress who made probably a hundred plus films in a fairly short period of time, in a multitude of countries. I am not, of course, suggesting that this individual acted in other than a responsible manner, merely pointing out that people flitting from country to country make a verifiable testing system difficult. There is also the problem that some European actors/actresses work at both ends of the market, one day they make a fairly soft film for the continental adult tv channels, the next a hard niche film. There are also alarming suggestions that certain people on the quarantine list in the USA are trying to come to Europe to work. Although the European industry seems to have been more successful than the US in avoiding hiv infection, there can be no complacency.
