For exemple DHL : The following items will NOT be accepted for carriage by DHL. ...

- Antiques, works of art and fine art with an individual value in excess of ?5,000
- Laptop computers ? No more than 1 laptop computer per package.
- Small electronic items, including mobile phones, containing lithium ion batteries ?
- Jewellery, costume jewellery, watches and objects constructed of precious metal and/or stones with a value in excess of ?4,000 per waybill ...

Just few exemples ... Belive me. I will be the first cause for police because I posted legall porn movies... And after that, all shops who sell xxx will close .. :)

DHL are a private company so have different rules.

Nope because it's not illegal to buy hardcore porn from a sex shop.

Presumably by "legal" you mean they're all BBFC R18 rated, in which case they can only be sold via licensed sex shops, not by mail order, which even a personal sale would be.

If they're not R18 rated, then it's illegal to supply (sell, rent, loan, gift, etc.) them within the UK, anyway.

Stripey , I just got a answer from "Slater and Gordon Lawyers" ( I hope that you know who they are ).

This is the answer : "Anything you own you can sell. You legally can't distribute duplications of the media. And obviously I wouldn't sell to anyone under 18...but as stated you buy something you own it, and you have the right to resell it."

So, I think that someone with like experiences in the courts know very well the law.

Ok. Let me know your email adress, and I will give a reply ASAP. I hope that he/she is located near my town and will be able to come personally and pick them.

Kara90,

While the likelihood of being caught is very low and even if you were that of getting more than a slapped wrist even lower the OP's are correct that

1)
Under UK law it is illegal to distribute ( it matters not if sold, traded, gifted etc.) any video content that does not fall within or below BBFC 18 cert unless specifically classed as exempt with the exception that items with a BBFC R18 cert can be distributed by licensed adult retailers.

2)
It is illegal to attempt to send any video content that does not fall within or below BBFC 18 cert unless specifically classed as exempt by Royal Mail.
Yes other couriers each have different terms but in all cases 1) still applies.

As you correctly say plenty are openly commercially selling to UK customers and most items will be sent / delivered by Royal Mail but both the act of distribution and use of Royal Mail are illegal.

For years across various forums etc it has been asked many times why perhaps the best well known and easy target of ' Fiona Cooper ' has never been presented for prosecution ........

Before you ask I have no connections with the Police or the legal profession.

Most of us are not saying you can't sell them, just that you cannot post them.

Although I'd wager you cannot sell R18 'secondhand' either without a licence, otherwise unlicensed dealers would just label all their R18 stock as 'used' to get around licensing conditions.

We have need of you again, great king.
