The Labour Party brought in stranglehold levels of PC protection for anyone who wasn't white. No matter what crime you committed the Race Card was your get out clause. Add in the fact they opened the immigration free for all without criminal checks and welcome to the UK Abdul Ali Kiddfuckah.

I didn't see Farage on TV today but he's probably referring to how the Council there has to be so PC now that they turned a blind-eye to paedo's out of fear of being called 'racist' - as Arginald point out. There are some evil elements to left-wing politics: the safety of 1400 kids mattered less than the fear of being called a racist, even though you'd be doing nothing other than going after people because they were sex abusers. I'm surprised they're not calling the 1400 girls who were abused by these Asian scumbags 'racist' for being abused by them.

"The Labour Party brought in stranglehold levels of PC protection for anyone who wasn't white."

The Labour Party running Rotherham Council were shite. No question. Incompetent, sexist and cowardly. However this is certainly not just a Labour problem. For reference look at the case in Oxford where Oxford County Council run by the Tories over a period of a number of years had done bugger all to sort out a paedophile ring.

If you think about it, the Tories will bend over backwards to support the immigrant community because it is looking like a hung parliament in the next election and the immigrant community is historically one that tends not to vote Tory. The Tories are doing everything they can to play catchup.

Nor should we forget the role of the police who turned the other way for so many years on these questions I am surprised they don't all have neck problems.

" No matter what crime you committed the Race Card was your get out clause."

Bit drama queenish, Argie

"Add in the fact they opened the immigration free for all without criminal checks and welcome to the UK Abdul Ali Kiddfuckah."

Well last time I looked net immigration last year far from being in the "tens of thousands" was running at a similar level as it did under Labour. And the Tories have done very little, if not, nothing to sort out the problem with foreign EU criminals entering the country.

Neither Labour nor Tories have anything to boast about on these matters.

To suggest that the unreconstructed old style Labour party running Rotherham had so much as an ounce of PC in them is laughable. Their collective attitude towards women in general , young girls in particular and to anyone raising concerns was extremely bullying in nature. Perhaps if they had been a little bit more concerned with peoples (the girls involved at least) feelings, a bit more PC perhaps, then something might have been done earlier. Even now many of the people who could have protected the girls are still in denial that they did anything wrong. Several councillors have expressed doubts about the numbers involved suggesting that it may have been only in the low hundreds rather than the 1400 now thought to have been abused. Others complained that it was the Murdoch press that did much of the early running with the story as though being exposed by the right-wing press lessened their sins of omission.

It was a council riven by petty jealousies, bullying, machismo, buck passing, personality clashes, poor management and accountability, battles over status and territory, and more that made it well nigh impossible to raise the issue in the first place and be believed in the second. Perhaps if there had been a bit of PC the 1400 girls in the town might have not seen their childhood taken from them.
