British "scroungers" abroad

Post by David Johnson »

Looks like much of Naughty Nige's views on immigration have been blown out of the water.

Unemployed Britons in Europe are drawing much more in benefits and allowances in the wealthier EU countries. And in these wealthier countries the benefits are much more generous than in the UK.

About 2.5% of Britain's in other EU countries are claiming unemployment benefits, about the same percentage of people from other EU countries that are claiming benefits here.

And after the entire population of Rumania flooding into Britian? The staggering number of 1040 are claiming benefits.

With Naughty Nigel forever blathering on about how immigrants are flooding here to take advantage of our fantastic benefits and Cameron slavishly following him to appease his own party anti-EU'ers, no wonder the British are regarded the buffoons of Europe.

In the pro-European Guardian ? must be true then...

And who says the British are regarded as the buffoons of Europe and if the is the case why does the EU want Britain to stay as a member?

Trust the left-wing Guardian to be the ones running a story like this. If there are British scroungers in Europe, just like there are European scroungers here, then it is right that local politicians and aspiring politicians complain about it. Nige will go on about foreigners coming here, doing nothing, and living off the State. There will be an equivilant to him in every European country and he or she will go on about that there. No doubt they'll be called right-wingers for doing so there just like he is here.

It's more that they chose to run a story like this when other papers haven't.

So where do you get your source of information? The Sun? Your wife?

"And who says the British are regarded as the buffoons of Europe"

Well if you hadn't noticed the contempt that Cameron's cack-handed attempts to "renegotiate" terms with the EU you must have been otherwise engaged.

First he announces a "major" speech on immigration. Then he floats the idea of an emergency stop on EU immigration and gets knocked back. THen he floats the idea of a cap on EU immigration and gets knocked back. Then he talks about allowing BRitish Nationals to get some benefits which will not be available to EU immigrants and that gets knocked back. And finally he talks about extending the time before an EU immigrant can claim benefits.

Truly, truly pathetic.

You are talking nonsense. The story was reported in the Guardian, the Independent, the International Business Times, the Telegraph etc.

Why does the EU want Britain to stay a member

"And who says the British are regarded as the buffoons of Europe and if the is the case why does the EU want Britain to stay as a member?"

The thing to understand is that the two separate points are not incompatible. Buffoons can be very useful. In Britain's case, it had a ?6 billion trade deficit with the EU in November 2014 alone. I doubt if they would want to see that jeopardised.

Just two ikkle problems with the observations:

1. They don't give a fuck about what happens outside of the UK either done by or related to people from the UK, just what they contribute to stuff outside of the UK.

2. And the biggest ball ache , especially for the idiot left, gimps and fuckwits, most, who will be voting for em, will be voting in the deluded belief that the none EU problems, with the mussies etc will be dealt with by them.

The story does not mention non-EU because it is not about non-EU.
