Islam is a religion of peace. It's not like the Taliban call themselves Muslims and think their version of Islam is the only version their should be which we should all prescribe to upon threats of death. If they did all that then you'd have a point, but they don't.

They clearly state they are secularist liberals, promoting equality for women, protection and rights for homosexuals and complete tolerance of anyone different. These lot who killed the kids are just a few bad eggs. It's not like similar things from them have happened before - it's a one off.

So, do we judge Nazism based on a totting up of all Nazi behavior, judge it on it's worst members or judge it on what it stands for and how it can make people behave?

I stand up for and defend Muslims. he stands up for and defends Islam. I want Islamic reform. He wants to keep the status quo. Leftist that he is, when it comes to Islam I'm the progressive and he the conservative. Ideologically, we're polar opposites on this.
