It's a shame, but even in parting he takes a swipe at me. I hope that, in time, he'll realise he's treated me a little unfairly, says sorry and that we can all start again with a clean slate.

I disagreed with Jim Slip quite a lot but was sad to see him go, and likewise with David. I think that, even though we have different opinions, it is healthy for a forum to debate, argue and squabble over those opinions. I'm a pretty liberal, leftist guy, but the last thing I want is a forum full of them all backslapping each other.

I hope David comes round and realises I'm not some 'top dog' that needs knocking down a peg or three. I think it is only this view of me that has led to this abrasive, arrogant attitude over the years.
