Anjem Choudary

Post by Sam Slater »

......apparently joining Take That according to twitter. I think it's fantastic that Take That are reaching out to other ethnicities and that old Anjem will slot right in. I think he'll benefit from the more mature Take That philosophy of less body-popping and rolling around half-naked in fresh cream and more walking slowly in cashmere sweaters, arms open and looking up to the heavens.

My sister's unconvinced, but once she find's out Gary is still the main songwriter and that Robbie's onboard, she'll be fine.

In his younger days Anjem Choudary would possibly have considered being a pop star, or similar. His real name is Andy and he hails from Welling, suburbia, on the London/Kent border. He spent his young adult life getting stoned on cannabis and drinking a lot. One difference between Take That and Anjem Choudary is Take That can fill a stadium and Anjem Choudary couldn't fill a village hall. He has hardly any followers, about 30 or 40 people, but for some reason the media imply he is some big-shot. I've gone on about muslims numerous times on this forum in the past, and the times I've done so I've felt it was/is justified to do so, but this guy is a nobody. He should just be ignored. I don't know why the press even talk about him. There are organisations no one has heard of that are bigger than his.

Who'd have thought that turning away from booze, drugs and porn and towards religion could be so dangerous?

Well.......apart from me?
