That wasn't a Spanish language press conference, which Beckham has given on occasions. It appears to have been a press conference in English, meaning that any questions in Spanish would have been translated into English as a matter of course. But since the question was originally asked in Spanish, Beckham may have made his own choice to answer it in Spanish.
