First caller on Radio 5 Live after the 9.00am news was a Scouser in his whiny voice complaining it was all a media conspiracy (yes he bit him, but it's not as if he killed anyone, and if it was Joe Bloggs doing it in the street no-one would hear anything about it, but because it's Suarez it's front page news... conveniently brushing aside that Suarez did it in front of tens of thousands of fans in a stadium and hundreds of millions watching on TV!!!) They are in a state of absolute denial and the usual Liverpool "victim" mentality is now being used in an effort to protect Suarez or justify his actions (it was the Italians' fault as they were winding him up all game by not allowing him to score).

When you think Suarez has bitten 3 people, stamped on people numerous times, eye gouged a guy and racially abused a black player 7 times in one match, you have to ask yourself if a 1 year permanent ban for ALL competitions isn't over the top.

I hope Fifa ban him from league games too. Hopefully they'll consider what he did in Holland and England and decide they have a duty to protect all players in all competitions, not just in internationals.

And if it means Liverpool having a ?60m+ player sat on the training ground for a full season and unable to sell him then so be it. It'll serve them right just for those daft t-shirts when he got done of racism.
