If we have the room, and social services can cope with a certain number (hospitals, school for their kids, etc), and they ALL work, are ALL honest, and ALL of them respect our ways and traditions then I don't have a problem. We don't have the room or the social services provision for the tsunami of immigrants that come, and are still coming, some aren't honest, and certain communities have a higher number of people who are criminals, antagonistic to our society than other communities, and that is what I have a problem with. We can do nothing about it though as politicians couldn't care less - either the last lot (Labour) or the current lot (Tory/Lib Dem).

"Do you live in the suburbs? The central areas of London and the Zone 2 and 3 areas are full of -wearing Romanians selling the magazine."

Really? I live near the Olympic Stadium. Very few Romanians here. Not all Romanians wear head scarves though.

I travel all over London and hardly see any Romanians (maybe i haven't get my prejudiced hat on looking for them). My understanding is that they are mainly in the Edgware Road and a lot of these Romanians are actually Roma. Even in the Edgware Road i haven't seen any Romanians/Roma. Maybe it's because i don't look for them or 'Maybe it's because i'm a Londoner'. I also very rarely see people selling TBI. Maybe its because i don't notice them or 'Maybe it's because i'm a Londoner'.

Teeming with them in Edinburgh and Glasgow too.

Why are they here?

I remember a discussion about this on the radio a few years ago. The interviewer was told that we could just as easily go and sell magizines in their country.

Hmm.............Anyone..............

"People who come to the UK from places with a very very different level of living, namely Romanians, Bulgarians, Somalians, and some others, will see the Welfare State here as something that is a step-up rather than something that is either going to keep them on a par with the level they're used to, or below it."

Yeah yeah yeah. Always going on about the minority who are not the majority. Foreigners are not the problem. Your government who let them in is.

"Regarding the Big issue being a charity, I don't think charities should help foreigners,"

We help foreigners all the time. Development Aid and through monies paid to the EU. We also sell loads of stuff to these pesky foreigners too. Billions worth, otherwise our economy does down the pan. If wealth was spread equally all around the world maybe those bloody foreigners wouldn't come. Prevention is better than cure.

Lol. This forum should be renamed the 'Moany Moaners Forum'. They'll always find something to moan about. I'm not going to spend the rest of my life being miserable for the sake of being miserable.

Don't worry moaners all the main parties before the next election will lurch to the right. Still won't be enough for the moany moaners out there though.

The harder you cum. The more you enjoy it.

There are some in Edgware Road, also Maida Vale, St Johns Wood, Hampstead and Highgate. Many other areas too.

I'm against foreign aid, lots of it goes to countries where we have little way of tracing it. We don't know what it's spent on. Selling stuff to foreign countries is very different to giving money to foreign countries. Regarding wealth being spread evenly across the world, I don't know how that could ever be achieved.

You're right about parties lurching to the right just before an election, it always happens, we will hear in the next 12 months lots of stuff about reclaiming our borders, getting tough on immigration, and so on. This happens before every election, then the proposals are quietly dropped about a month after the election. This problem will never be solved. I just feel sorry for little kids today, when they are middle-aged we'll probably have a population of 70 or 80 million, over overcrowded island will be overcrowded beyond belief, and all the people who caused it will be living in one of their many country piles with the draw-bridge up. That idiot Tony Blair is responsible for a lot of this, the highest immigration in over ONE THOUSAND YEARS took place under him. He now owns ten mansions and earns millions and millions of pounds trading off all the contacts he made in politics.

Maybe we should do that, become Big Issue sellers in Romania! In fact that's a good idea for a reality TV series! Is anyone from Channel 4 or Channel 5 reading this?
