Given 96 Liverpudlians died, I'd say they're right to see it as more important than what goes on on the pitch.

Had to laugh at the Palace debacle. They thought the title was won when they beat City, all this Gerrard "Kings Speech" shite and never known a set of fans line the street for the bus BEFORE the kick off! Arrogant to say the least. Fuck em!

Now now Spunkie Liverpool fans are a delicate bunch who were educated in the classics and appreicate a lovely Mozart sonata before going shop lifting...

Sad to notice no minutes silence at any Premiership grounds to remember those who died 29 years ago on this day at Valley Parade, Bradford.

I suppose, given no Liverpool fans were killed, it's not deemed worthy of being remembered.

Different disasters require different ways of keeping the memories alive.

Did the fans at Bradford get blamed for the fire? No.
Were the fans at Bradford accused of drunkenness and robbing the dead? No.
Were there hundreds of witness statements changed by the police after Bradford? No.

Liverpool FC and the families concerned have clearly decided that a one minute's silence is a positive way in keeping all these issues in people's minds until the truth actually emerges.

That isn't to say that the deaths at Bradford aren't remembered.

But you obviously don't know anything about that.

I knew it was being remembered by Bradford, but unlike Hillsborough, where every single fucking game in the country has to observe a minute's silence lest the bin-dippers riot, there is no such mark of respect anywhere else.

Silly point, Bob.

I too think it's wrong to guilt trip other clubs into the minute's silence if a majority of fans don't want to a quarter of a century on, but to state that Liverpool fans would riot is presumptuous nonsense with no evidence whatsoever.

My personal guess would be that most Liverpool supporters wouldn't be that bothered either way as long as they can pay their respects.

Well done City. 25 years and counting. Odds on Suarez being at Madrid by August?
