Lee Rigby's killers are jailed...

The vermin who killed Lee Rigby in Woolwich last year have been sent down this afternoon. One of the scumbags got a whole life sentence, he will never be released, the other got a minimum of 45 years in the can. If I had my way these two pieces of shit would be sentenced to a life of hard labour, similar to those gulag camps Stalin used to have in northern Russia 60 years ago. They would be worked almost to death on a daily basis and have to sleep in a freezing cold hut at night. If they slacked on their work they would be beaten, and if they tried to run away they would be shot. That is what these scum deserve.

Instead they'll be in a nice prison, with their own room complete with new private en suite bathroom, TV and DVD player, playstation and everything else that the taxpayer has to pay for. It will cost more to keep each of them in prison annually than it costs to send a kid to Eton, that is the high cost of jailing someone in Britain. If they need healthcare or an operation it will be instant, rather than having to wait a while like honest citizens who pay for it with their taxes have to, and their accommodation conditions will be nicer than that of a lot of young people who have just left home and have little money - and nicer than a lot of old age pensioners who have paid tax all their lives and have been honest and decent.

If I had my way they would be working in quarries, the work they did would generate some sort of payment and that would just about keep them at a basic level of existence, which would involve squashed-in communal living and just about enough food. It's good that these scumbags have gone down though.

Max have you ever worked/been in a prison? It's not a cushy/easy number unless you believe everything you read.

British prisons are unfortunately cushy little numbers compared to most nations, a nice gym, pocket money to buy sweeties, fags and other little treats, tv, libary and like minded friends.

While I feel that death by roasting covered in bacon like a human pig in a blanket would be fitting, the idea of him growing old locked in a cell appeals more but under the USA prison system where prison means something very unpleasant to its inmates.

The irony is that they will be recieving better treatment than those whose only "crime" is recieving benefits.

Those two would very much like too be hung by their enemies. Thats a strong message they died for their cause.

What burned those two idiots today was the judge saying they violated the laws of the Koran and bad muslims (or words t that effect)...I can imagine those words mustve cut through them like knives.

Now they will get to share the same showers with other men for the rest of their living days. Never again will they smell the sweet perfume on a womans neck or feel the tenderness of a womans lips on their penis. They can close their eyes and imagine it from some other inmate but I reckon they'll be the ones doing that before long.

That said, unless you have spent time in prison you have no idea the living hell it is to have your freedom taken away from you.

I'll give it a few weeks before we hear of their first beatings inside. Can't say I will feel any sympathy. Theyre lucky to still enjoy the luxury of breathing everyday.

What is that guy going to do in 45 years when he gets out? He aint going to have a career or a pension. He probably wont have any family left alive to look after him either.

That amazed me at the time as well, and still does. the fact that they weren't Brazilian electricians probably saved them.

Possibly. They are locked up and can't commit any more crimes. Well not on the outside anyway. That's the main thing.

Hanging them certainly would have been cheaper, someone said to me once that life in prison is worse than being put to the rope because you really have to endure the time you spend banged up - whereas if you're killed instantly you know nothing about it so it's not really a punishment.

I haven't been in prison, I've not known anyone who has, but it seems to me there are two negative things: one, the incarceration element; and two, the fact you might be bullied by meathead thugs on a daily basis. It is possible bullying would happen, in some cases it wouldn't, so a lot of prisoners solely have the fact that they're locked up as being what makes life hard. The accommodation isn't too bad it seems.

I would imagine people come to terms with the loss of freedom thing and adapt to it the more institutionalised they become. As far as beatings go I hope these scumbags are regularly beaten by the other lags! There are lots of radicalised muslims in British jails now though and I imagine they all club together and watch each others' backs.
