Yes he was very good.... I saw Roger Lloyd Pack on stage at the Whitehall
Theatre many years ago in a dreadful production of "Hotel Paradiso". He was
however, an excellent actor. Whenever I looked at him on TV it made me
think of the incongruity with his father, the actor Charles Lloyd Pack. Roger
was a tall ambling kind of bloke, perfect for "Trigger" in "Only fools...",
while his dad, as any fan of 1950s and 60s British movies will recall, was a
tiny little chap, perhaps best known for his nasty thin-lipped blackmailer
trying to intimidate Dirk Bogarde and other homosexuals in "Suspicion". Sad
also that Roger`s daughter, the very sexy Emily Lloyd, who became a young
star, encountered mental health problems....

Trigger was a great character. Playing the fool / straight man often takes more talent than the wisecracking joker.

Just before I get corrected by someone, the old Dirk Bogarde movie I
mentioned should have been "Victim", not "Suspicion". Probably Charles
Lloyd Pack`s best role was as Dr Seward in Terence Fisher`s "Dracula",
Christopher Lee`s first appearance in the role.

RIP Roger Lloyd Pack. I remember his daughter Emily Lloyd was a film star for a time, she starred in "Wish You Were Here" and was one of the biggest movie stars in the land about 25 years ago. Her fame even reached to America and she was in some big movies over there following on from that one. She had a few problems as far as I remember and she left the limelight for a more ordinary life. I feel for her tonight, having lost her dad.

I read in the papers a few months back.. that she wants to make a comeback to acting..
I should hope so.. She should carry on with Father's acting legacy..
