These comments make me laugh. People saying that folk air their leftie and rightie views on here, how some are bigots, and that it's largely because of social inadequacy. What does that make those who come to the forum just to MOAN about the posters then, rather than having something original to say themselves? People can disagree with what's said, that is fine, that is what makes a debate - the readers of posts can respond pointing out where the other person is wrong and give their opinions instead. I also find it comical how people who have views others find disagreeable must be socially inept, inadequate loners, and so on. If they were that then the posters on here would have no detailed opinions on anything at all. I'm aware that some of this is directed at me but, hey, that is fine. Like I said, people having different opinions on things is what makes a debate.

I also feel keyboard warriors have taken their toll with a lot of the old posters now thinking what's the fucking point.

Post made get hijacked a lot more these days as well which was something that mainly happened during the school holidays.

I feel for the mods because what was good now must be a bloody nightmare to be bothered with.

Lol. Some people on here just mock others and some come back pointing out the supposed dis-merits of what one has said. The latter is what should always happen. If someone is talking gibberish, and from time to time posters on here think I am talking gibberish (never, surely! lol) then they can point out where the faults lie in what I'm saying, rather than engage is put-downs and personal attacks. That does not happen very often but does from time to time. On the occasions where it has happened a lot, and kept happening, I have complained.

I emailed the moderators a couple of times a year ago about unrelenting abuse I was getting on here. I did not get bothered by it as such, just bored after a while because the debates become stagnant and are not moving forwards. People are 'playing the man rather than playing the ball' as the saying goes. Someone started a thread about getting posts removed and I posted on it. I've just found the thread and have copied and pasted what I said below, I make reference to an thread called 'Oscar Pistorius. Who he' that I started on the forum a year ago:

This from Sam Slater to me (he makes a reference to Fred West here):

This from Bob Singleton, to Sam Slater, about me:

"...he continued to take no notice and post his brainless thoughts on the subject... He is the lowest form of moron... a moron with a keyboard, access to the internet and the belief that everything he says is important... Best to ignore him and hope that he dies a slow and horrible death... soon...."

Don Roobles joins in, referencing Bob Singleton's comment about me:

"slow horrible death...i think he passed away ages ago"

We then get this from Fatmick:

"Is Max the ultimate WUM? Or is he actually a complete fucking moron?"

Sam Slater then responds to something I say later on, on the same thread:

"More shit in defence of previous shit."

-- So we have lots of interesting comments there, all aimed at me, on the 'Oscar Pistorius. Who he' thread which I started. People can think I'm talking rubbish, I don't think I am but it is their right to think so and to tell me if they like. They could refrain from such extreme abuse though. What puzzles me is why you remove some posts but left all these ones up (they are all still there today) when they are so rude and abusive. I even emailed you twice about the Bob Singleton comments, but got no reply and the comments were not removed. Just curious why you remove some but not others. Max.

In spite of me altering the moderators to this, by email, they did nothing. People can slag me of if they want but, as I say, it doesn't move the debate forwards therefore the debates become boring. If people want to point out that someone is talking nonsense then they can do this by detailing where in the posting the person is wrong, rather than name calling and abuse. I think they are confirming they don't have much of an argument when they resort to this though, otherwise they would just tell you where in your monologue you are wrong.
