Fender 1962 combo amp
Fender 1962 combo amp
I have inherited a Fender 1962 Brown Super Amp in good working order.A guy who plays in the local pub wants to buy it off me.How much should I ask for it?I don't know much about these things, hence the question.
Re: Fender 1962 combo amp
valve powered?? quite a chunk of cash... add on a bit more if it's also got a reverb tank... if it's a reissue (solid state, just brown tolex covered like they did with the princeton 65's in the late 80's) then it'll be much less

Thanks for the info,blurk99.Just checked and it's valve powered with a reverb tank.

If it's truly an original 62, depending on it's condition, and depending on what work has had to be done on it you are easily looking at 2 grand, maybe more if you have original paperwork. If it was mine, I wouldn't part with it.

Have you tested it? It'll fetch anything from ?1500-?2000 I'd say.
I'd keep it. However, if you don't play then sell it. An amp like that deserves to be used, not sat in an attic or something gathering dust.
I'd consider it if I was gigging. Too big for home. I like my neighbours too much !happy!
