Spying on your allies is paranoia. USA's foreign policies have always been fucked up and fighting unnecessary wars keeps the military in good shape for the next war.

Don't be daft. The biggest threat to world peace is the rise of Islamic fundamentalists. Americans don't fly aeroplanes into buildings. Americans don't blow themselves up on tube trains. Americans don't set off bombs during public sporting events.

no america carries out it's own terrorist activities in the form of drone attacks for which they should be brought before a war crimes court in the same way as they should be brought before a human rights court for spying, holding prisoners without trial and acts of torture. strangely team america world police will be brought before neither

Its drone attacks are on terrorist targets. It doesn't target civilians (unlike Islamist terrorists) although funnily enough the terrorists hide among civilians.

As for spying everyone spies on everyone else. Remember the episode of Yes Minister (or Yes Prime Minister) when Hacker is told that we spend as much time spying on the French as we do the Russians.

Britain is not averse to holding prisoners without trial ? control orders anyone?
