The cuts have made services better

Post by Essex Lad »

Many people in Britain think some public services have improved since the banking crisis prompted the introduction of austerity measures five years ago, according to a BBC poll.

Research suggests that despite the budget cuts, more people believe refuse and recycling, parks and libraries, schools and bus services have got better, rather than worse.

However, satisfaction with elderly care and road maintenance has declined.

Oh dear, oh dear ? if even the BBC are reporting that the cuts have a beneficial effect then it must be true...

Yeah I listened to the clip in the BBC via the link you give.

I got the impression that the story had been put together by a 10 year old, providing succour for 11 year old right wing types e.g. "many leisure centres have been closed, but 25% of the respondents felt that they had got better".

Jeez!

'Many people' doesn't sound very scientific. If you're stating percentages it might be useful to state the number of respondents.

You are joking right? Even the former DG admits its default setting is a left-wing one.

Another example of the BBC's right-wing bias...
