god bless the tories for ressurecting their greatest hits 'red ed', it must have taken the scriptwriters all of 0.5milliseconds to dust that one down. It's return is of course long overdue as they could hardly accuse Blair of being red anything, he was barely pink.

Let us get our historical facts right. Lord Rothermere and the Daily Mail
owners were pro-fascist in the Thirties and admirers of Hitler. It is quite
wrong to say they were pro-Nazi during WWII - the paper knew its Empire-
loyalist, conservative readers and naturally changed its tone to one of
opposing nasty Mr Hitler (God, how old Rothermere must have been sick in
his guts). The paper historically has always been aimed at what used to be
called the "upper working class and lower middle class demographic" but
the terms have little real meaning today.
It knows its readers, to be fair to an awful newspaper (though moderately
more entertaining than the dullish Daily Express), but that's not saying
much.
I have not read a real copy in decades, but I do think their website takes
some beating for photos eg the Jap Tsunami or the Olympics.....and also
some hot celebrity trollops (eg TOWIE girls) on the town !

Maybe you don't read the Daily Mail but you are still totally deluded. A bloke who according to you was brought up in a council estate, does a public sector pen-pushing job in a Housing Association and hanging on for your final salary pension.

And yet you are a fervent right wing supporter. You are the stereotypical working class lad who has bought into becoming middle class at all cost even down to going to your local golf club and part of that "buying into the middle class aspirational thing is voting right wing.

And you fail to realise that without the Labour Party and the trade unions you would be even more of a piece of shit on a rich person's shoes than you currently are.
