Sluts
Should Godfrey Bloom resign after jokingly saying "This place is full of sluts.? He was using the old fashioned meaning of the word slut to mean a slovenly woman.
However i think that nowdays the vast majority of people use the word slut to mean a woman who'll have sex with any bloke.
"This place is full of sluts.? I wonder how that would go down at a porn awards ceremony?
What does the word slut mean to you?

The harder you cum. The more you enjoy it.

Re: Sluts
I heard Bloom say that he was referring to cleaning behind the fridge and
meant it as a jokey remark. I also heard, with pinpoint accuracy, Farage
say that Godfrey has an old-style "territorial army" kind of humour that does
not come across too well in our P.C. age.
I sympathise a bit, though I think Bloom is a publicity seeker and rather full
of himself, because my own humour and non P.C. wit is definitely not 2013.
That's all part of Farage`s party`s inherent problem - wishing us out of
Europe is backward-looking and the party is essentially a reactionary one
living in the past.
As to "sluts", Bloom clearly meant no offence, and the Press are having a
field day constantly jibing at his Party as a set of loonies which they are not.
And before someone replies that they are - I think the next election night is
going to see a lot of right-wing Conservatives give them a vote, as much as
anything in protest against Cameron`s lovey-dovey wet Toryism

Well he didn't resign as far as I am aware. The UKIP whip was taken from him. And the reason was nothing to do as to whether people found it funny or not.
The issue for Nigel and his lot is "How do you convince people that you aren't a party of extreme right wing nutcases but are a party you can actually vote for other than as a protest vote to give Labour, Tories and Lib Dems a kicking. So Nigel's line is that UKIP are a responsible party with a whole host of sensible measures across the piece i.e. not just a one issue anti-EU vote.
Well Bloom is not exactly helping that transition e.g. stating awhile back that businesses would be bonkers to employ a woman of child bearing age. Oops there goes the female vote. And stuff like sending aid to "Bongo bongo land". Oops that wins the "Carry on Up the Khyber" vote but loses many more etc etc.
So Godfrey merely supplied an excuse to get rid.

What is really obvious is the so called major parties are cacking themselves over the thought of UKIP taking some of their lucrative seats. Most MP's, of all creeds, are now in it for the rewards so fear their ?65k salary, fabulous pension etc are at risk from outsiders..

That may or may not be true for the Tories. Hence Cameron's decision over the EU referendum.
Maybe an ultra-right wing party who are very much against workers rights such as maternity leave, redundancy rights etc might get turkeys to vote for Xmas but I doubt it somehow. Most of the turkeys voted for Cameron last time which is why they are concerned about UKIP.
If Nige does get into coalition, I would look out for your gold plated public sector pension, Argie. !wink!

Re: Cockneygeezer
Reckon labour should be wary as well as with the facade of friendly front man Nigel and being the only party to talk about immigration they could pick up the white working class vote in the same way the wretched thatcher creature did.
Can anyone remember the last time UKIP spoke about their other "polices" such as removing workers rights etc? So as long as they keep quiet about these they will look attractive.

Well I think when it comes to the 2015 election it will be open season on UKIP about their lack of any policies other than reduce immigration and get out of the EU.
I can see the other parties' leaflets already. Women are you of child bearing age? Vote UKIP and lose your job or any chance of moving to a new one.

Re: Steve56
Good question Steve...."slut" seems to be the popular euphemism these
days for what fifty years ago one called a "tart". Whereas "slag" is an
infinitely stronger term, used often without sexual overtones ie a vulgar,
gross, offensive women, often of working class origins. Think that splendid
woman in the "The Harry Enfield Show".
