Reading that the "talented" Nick Clegg is all for free school meals for infant schools in England...

As the UK pays on average the highest child allowances would it make sense to reduce the child allowance to fill this gap??

My view is that the child allowance is not being spent for the child so a balancing act would be a good way of help the kids! BUT not leave the allowance at the same rate...

It's just a pathetic political stunt to make an unpopular politician less unpopular, using our own money. Why stop at 7, don't 8 year olds deserve a free lunch? You can see where this is going. Fatuous.

It's nice to know they consider a child worth feeding and willing to allow adults not to be able to eat with benefit cuts/employee wages being left criminally too low.
