The UAF show up to counter-demonstrate against the English Defence League in London yesterday (Saturday). 150 of them get arrested for Public Order offences. Does anyone know why David Cameron, Ed Milliband, and others, are supporters and endorsers of this violent group?

Well done, Max
Can I be first to congratulate you on this masterpiece of misinformation?
Have you actually read the info in the link you have provided?
"A police spokesman said about 150 counter-protesters were arrested for breaching section 12 and section 14 of the Public Order Act, after a group broke away and headed towards Tower Bridge where the EDL march was to end"
Sections 12 and 14 are purely about sticking to the guidelines as to the location that you can protest in. They have nothing to do with "violence".
"Another 14 others, mainly from the EDL were arrested during the day for violent disorder, possession of knives and fireworks."
So based on the information you provide Max, which group is the more "violent group"?

I am no supporter of the EDL, I am also no supporter of the UAF - and I've always been amazed at how we are supposed to see the UAF as the nice guys when every time they show up somewhere loads of them get arrested. Many more of them got nicked in London yesterday than EDL people did, yet the TV news coverage is always "many arrested at EDL march in London today" and people who look no further than the headline will think it's all EDL people who have been lifted, and those lovely UAF people were just politely counter-demonstrating across the road. Those 14 EDL people who were
arrested tooled-up are bad people and certainly deserve to be nicked and punished. I just find it interesting how so many more from the UAF side are always busted at these demo's. How can Cameron, Milliband and other senior politicians support an organisation like this?
From Wikipedia, two recent incidents:
On 2 June 2013, 58 UAF counter-demonstrators were arrested by police under Section 14 of the Public Order Act[35] for failing to move up the street[36] away from a BNP demonstration outside the Houses of Parliament against what the BNP describe as Islamic "hate preachers". The police had earlier banned the BNP from marching from Woolwich Barracks to the Houses of Parliament, fearing violence.[37][38]
On 7 September 2013, 150 were arrested after a splinter group broke away from the UAF-led protest against anti-Islamist demonstrators.[39][40]

Gentleman
I saw the EDL leader on Newsnight a while ago and he said they have a Jewish division, a Siki division and a Hindu division. They also apparently have a gay and lesbian division.

Rather than merely insulting me which adds absolutely bugger all to the thread, perhaps you could have the manners to explain what is incorrect in my post?

Well that isn't the case as far as Channel 4 are concerned is it?
Secondly I note you completely ignore my point.
1. You describe the UAF as a violent group.
2. In the same post you provide a link which suggests that the "violent disorder" was mainly EDL members. The UAF arrests were apparently down to them not adhering to their location limitations.

Hardly an act of thuggish violence is it, Max... failing to move up the street?

I'm well aware that a lot of UAF people who get arrested are arrested because they refuse to move from the spot where they are standing. I am also aware that the UAF are a violent outfit. Here are some things I've found online.
From Wikipedia:
"On 22 October 2009, the UAF demonstration against Nick Griffin's appearance on the BBC's Question Time programme resulted in injuries to three police officers. UAF national officer and (then) SWP National Secretary Martin Smith was found guilty of assaulting one of the police officers at South Western Magistrates' Court, London, on 7 September 2010. He was sentenced to a 12-month community order, with 80 hours' unpaid work, and was fined ?450 pending an appeal."
"On 20 March 2010, demonstrations from UAF and the English Defence League (EDL) in Bolton led to violent confrontations and the arrest of at least 55 UAF supporters, including the UAF protest organiser Weyman Bennett, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit violent disorder. At least three EDL supporters were also arrested, and two UAF members were taken to hospital with a minor head and a minor ear injury. After Bennett was charged and released, he accused the police of being hostile to anti-racists and called for an inquiry into the police's actions that day. The police, while criticising the EDL for "vitriolic name-calling" blamed people predominantly associated with UAF for provoking violence and said that they "acted with, at times, extreme violence."
Here are the peace-loving UAF beating the crap out of someone. They also seem to like calling the people they are demonstrating against "scum":
