Not that I expect you to answer, but why shouldn't someone charge what they want for their service ? be it their skills, property, knowledge, what have you? It's call market forces.

Most readers might not find this terrible but that would shut down most national newspapers (including The Guardian) who employ nearly all their freelance staff on zero hour contracts.

Well thanks to the current governments definition of making work pay by reducing the level of low paying benefits even lower in a desperate bid to make the criminally low paying jobs/minimum wage look "attractive" you too can be better off in work by becoming working poor which can be hidden away statistically far more easily.

No, there are jobs or there wouldn't be so many eastern Europeans coming over to fill the vacancies. As Johnson and Slater often inform us the dole is either a pittance or not worth claiming so they must be coming over to work.

Even a minimum wage job pays better than a Eastern European considering any cash you make is worth 4 times as much back home.
You also don't ave any problems maintaining a lifestyle or in fact being to improve it unlike a native who has mortgages etc, children.
Also there's the NHS so you'll get yourself soe free operations ad your children taught for free.
Here's a point in case on farming today radio 4 farm owner who uses to inning about for fruit picking for 3 months each year they could earn the atonal average of Romania in that period.
