Getting tickets for gigs

Sign up to the mailing lists of companies like Live Nation who not only promote the gigs but also sell the tickets

Got tickets for the Neil Young concert in Liverpool for ?64 each all in from the Arena's own booking site.

I then had a look at viagogo.com and they were selling tickets in the same section for ?333 per ticket!!!!

wouldn't touch viagogo with someone else's bargepole.

for dylan at blackpool i'd just contact the venue direct and don't give up hope because there are often seats put on sale on the day to discourage touts.

Must say I always find it reassuring when the music of my very early years is played with such feeling and respect, 40 odd years later by a bunch of young buckaroos.

Bit like when I went to a show by a Beatles tribute band in Cambridge about 10 years ago and the audience was full of kids, word perfect singing along with the tunes.

Can't see it happening with One Direction's stuff somehow or the Arctic Monkeys.

Bugger! After picking up tickets for Neil Young at the Liverpool Echo Arena, I have just had an email stating that the band have cancelled the gig and their European tour due to an accident that has affected the band.

Apparently Crazy Horse guitarist, Frank Sampedro has broken his hand.

Oh well, still got the CDs I guess.
