The BBC IS left-wing in its political outlook. It takes the left-wing line on immigration, wind farms, global warming, EU, the "cuts"... and it attacked its own star radio performer when he made a documentary criticising the welfare system.

Re: Doreen Lawrence gets seat in House of Lords
Andrew Marr's wife used to be, or maybe still is, in the Labour Party - or there is some connection with her and them. Enough for the Daily Mail a few years ago to describe the BBC as 'the Blair Broadcasting Corporation'.

Doreen's daily update...
In The Sun newspaper today there is a quote from Doreen. Today she is commenting on the vans that are cruising around London telling illegal immigrants to 'go home or face arrest' and the raids which Home Office officials are carrying out. Illegal immigrants seem to feel they are being mistreated by the fact they're being tracked down and kicked out of a country they are illegally in. Rather than being punished for breaking into a country and staying there in contravention of the law, they act like people being treated badly and view what the authorities are doing as an affront to them. Last night on the news people were protesting outside a building in Southall, west London, against immigration officers who had entered the building to arrest people here illegally. An outfit calling itself "the Southall Black Sisters" were given airtime and allowed to moan on the programme. Doreen appears today in The Sun saying: "I think racial profiling is coming into it". I wonder what she will have to say tomorrow.

She has been saying this all week, just because she is being reported saying this in "the Sun newspaper today" means nowt. Alert: Next year's press will have loads on the outbreak of World War 1. The war won't be starting in 2014.

Have you got any evidence to support this Max e.g. arrested and charged illegal immigrant stating "This is totally out of order. Here I was doing a honest shift in my local kebab shop/strawberry picking etc etc and these border control staff have got in my way".
" Doreen appears today in The Sun saying: "I think racial profiling is coming into it".
As she has been saying for days.
"I wonder what she will have to say tomorrow"
What she has been saying for days, Max would be my guess. It's the summer holidays, you know.
The silly season for news. Know what I mean?

You've missed the boat, Max
"I hope that her endlessly going on about stop-and-search, and becoming a regular on news programmes every week from now on, doesn't make the Police change their approach to stop-and search"
Would you Adam and Eve it but that left wing propagandist, Theresa May has already changed the guidance.
Look at this in the Daily Mail. Must be truthful and accurate then.

Looks like all these people going on about stop-and-search has had an impact then, as I said it likely would. We wouldn't want to hurt 'community realitions' now would we? The issue of how black people are seven times more likely to be stopped and searched than other people is probably down to the fact the vast majority of muggers in London are black men therefore what the Police are doing (or rather WERE doing) is fair. If this is now being wound down then London is about to become an even more dangerous place to live.

There were no interviews with the people who were being lifted yesterday in Southall on the programme I saw (it was Channel 4 news at 7pm on Friday) but from the posse of protestors outside the building who were ranting at the officials going in to arrest people, and from the tone of the woman from the Southall Black Sisters, it is clear that the supporters of these people have an issue with it - so it is likely the people being lifted would have an issue with it too. Do you think if the reporter had been able to talk to the chef from the restaurant who was being lifted, or if they talked to the people from the other local businesses being nicked, they'd have said "I'm so grateful to the home office official, great to see him, it has made my day being nicked!" I doubt it somehow.

Oh Max, oh Max
"Looks like all these people going on about stop-and-search has had an impact then, as I said it likely would."
No Max. Read the Daily Mail like I do!!!!
"Last year police conducted 1.2million stops and searches but only 9 per cent ? 107,000 ? ended in arrest, leaving more than a million ?pointless? sus checks. (Note Max - arrest, not conviction. Presumably the conviction rate is at a guess a fair bit lower)
In some parts of the country, the figure is as low as 3 per cent, raising huge question marks over whether the power is being used properly.
Mrs May will tell MPs that conducting a search, then filling in the paperwork afterwards, takes an average of 16 minutes.
Last year 312,000 hours were consumed in this way ? the equivalent of 145 full-time officers doing nothing else.
The number of hours spent on stops and searches that did not end in arrest was almost 300,000.
Mrs May says that, in many cases, this represents a ?dreadful waste of time?.
In other words Ms. May's view is that there are much, much better ways of using police time effectively to nick criminals.
And on this black/white thing which takes up, it would appear, so much of your thought processes, it is worth pointing out that this is a NATIONAL approach Theresa May is talking about. For example, as the Mail reliably informs us !wink! "Robbery nationally is not a black crime - 81 per cent of those jailed for it are white. In many other areas, such as Newcastle and Glasgow, street crime is as high as in London and is overwhelmingly committed by young white men."
So clearly Maximilian if May was just bowing to pressure from the likes of Doreen Lawrence she would be limiting the reduction to London wouldn't she?
But she ain't . In short this move is about effective use of police time based on statistical analysis and not "molly coddling black community sensitivities" as you bang on about.

Max Misrepresentation
This is what you posted
"Illegal immigrants seem to feel they are being mistreated by the fact they're being tracked down and kicked out of a country they are illegally in. Rather than being punished for breaking into a country and staying there in contravention of the law, they act like people being treated badly and view what the authorities are doing as an affront to them."
SO you accept that this is a complete misrepresentation? Clearly you have no alternative to admit this as you yourself said there was no direct info from those alleged illegal immigrants. You have no idea as to what the alleged illegal immigrant felt. By the way, do you note the use of the word "alleged" Max. Apparently there is a legal process that ends in conviction or not that we still have in the UK.
"it is clear that the supporters of these people have an issue with it - so it is likely the people being lifted would have an issue with it too."
Again this is a total misrepresentation for which you have no information to back your views up i.e. "so it is likely the people being lifted would have an issue with it too."
It is against the law to target people purely from a racial profiling point of view. The Black Southall Sisters are highlighting what the law is. Not a hugely offensive thing to do, I would have thought i.e. this is the law. It is important to stick to it"

I hope her decision to wind all this down is being genuinely done so that what was a proper waste of time (if that is the case) for the Police can now become something the Police do not spend as much time on and instead spend it doing worthwhile things elsewhere. That would mean then, surely, that stop and search continues - just not as much of it and that which is still done is done to people who look like they might GENUINELY be about to commit a crime. The Police can then spend vital time and resources doing other things as part of their broad campaign to make us all safer, and those who they will still stop and search will only be the ones who seem properly dodgy - therefore the right people will be targeted and stop and search will remain an effective tool to combat street crime, only it will be done to those who are really deserving of being stopped. Let's hope that is the central plank of her decision making process, not a load of PC rubbish done to appease the Guardian-istas and those who moan on TV programmes.
