CGI in The Great Gatsby

Post by andy at handiwork »

Not, by many accounts, a great film, but it has some pretty impressive green screen and CGI work in it.

On the other hand one could feel a little cheated that they didnt actually build those stonking great sets.

I've decided that anything with Baz Luhrmans name on it after Romeo & Juliette is just gonna put me to sleep I didnt like Moulin Rouge and I wouldve gone to see it because Leo was in it BUT the deciding factor was based on knowing 5 editors were called in to work on it which was cause for concern about spending the best part of a tenner to go see it

Was disappointed in Gangster Squad when Boardwalk Empire is far superior as a TV series.

Anyway, Gangster Squad was done miles better with LA Confidential years ago

It makes the Robert Redford, Bruce Dern version look like a masterpiece.
