That looks a hell of a long way from the stage. Good job you had the big screens!

The Who

Post by andy at handiwork »

We were a bit of a way back. Tonight at the O2 we were a lot closer to the stage. The Who were magnificent, playing Quadrophenia and then some old favourites. They even included footage and audio of both Keith Moon and John Entwistle playing. The support band Vintage Trouble were pretty good as well, with a lead singer who was a cross between Arthur Alexander and James Brown.

Vintage Trouble

I didn't realise Vintage Trouble were back in the country.I was at this gig a couple of years ago and I thought they were one of the best live bands I'd seen for a long time.

Thanks for the link. They really were excellent. I've not come across them before but was glad we bothered to take our seats to watch them. It must be quite dispiriting to play to, at that time, a half empty house, but the power and enthusiasm they put into the gig was tremendous. Unfortunately I wont be able to catch any of the shows on their currant tour. Maybe next time.
