Very interesting new video from Pat Condell, where he talks about the difference between liberals and progressives and just how much harm "progressives" do to society. Have a watch, it's less than 7 minutes long, and post any comments below. Middle class nouveau-riche lefties who read The Guardian might not like it.

He comes across as an unbelievably intolerant bloke, this Pat Condell, doesn't he, particularly when he is condemning the "intolerance" that he sees in anyone who disagrees with him?

A typical example of this ill-informed, over the top intolerance is his statements about Sweden, a country he has a real bee in his bonnet about, "the rape capital of Europe" and "suicidal immigration policy" and "Swedish journalists the scum of the earth" etc. etc.

The OECD survey of umpteen countries found that Sweden scored very highly in terms of standard of living, happiness etc. etc. etc. An impression which is very different from the one, Condell tries to create i.e. that in Sweden, women are cowering in their homes, terrified of being raped by an immigrant.



You seem to really like him, though, Max. I've lost count of the number of times you have posted links to his stuff.

As for "middle class noveau-riche lefties who read the Guardian might not like it", I would have thought that anyone who prefers fact over ill-informed, incorrect generalisation wouldn't "like it" and those people can be found across the political spectrum.

This is the counter view put by a gay, white guy living in Sweden who dismantled the Pat Condell "lecture" which you posted awhile back. Being a gay guy, he is hardly going to be a supporter of Muslim fundamentalism is he?

Max, when I opened the link in the top left hand corner there was a graphic - 'Youtube comedy week'. Is this part of Youtube comedy week ?

I think Pat Condell has some interesting things to say, and even if people disagree with him he has the right to say them. He apparently gets lots of hate mail and death threats but it doesn't deter him from continuing to make and post videos. He certainly has an issue with Islam, some people have called his collection of videos 'The I hate Islam show' - although he has done other video's too. He apparently used to be a stand up comedian. Regarding whether I like him, yes I do, I always look out for new videos of his.

lol. This guy refers to Condell's video here as 'another round of the I hate Islam show'. I mentioned this in my last comment, this guy calls the videos that and others do too. I've seem this video before. He says some interesting things here.

'Youtube comedy week'. I noticed that in the corner too. I don't think Pat Condell's vids fall into that category, he tries to be ironic at times though, and he smirks a lot during the clips.

He doesn't live in Sweden as he clearly says but says that he has friends in Sweden.
